Your Footprint

Carbon emissions are created by some of the most basic activities of daily life: driving your car, heating your home, traveling by airplane. These emissions contribute to climate change, and your total emissions is referred to as your Greenhouse Gas Footprint.

Haiti KONPAY provides a way to offset your footprint by funding a project that results in an overall reduction of carbon in the atmosphere. Our tree planting projects in southeastern Haiti will consume at least as much carbon as your activities create, based on the estimates below.


The first step to offsetting your greenhouse gas footprint is to calculate your level of emissions.
You will want to measure all your major activities that result in the emission of carbon dioxide, such as driving and flying, as well as your home. List these and add up the estimated tons of carbon emitted based on the list below.
